Clinical Services

The Clinical Outreach Team works in ways that protect and value cultural identity and diversity. This value is central to our work, guiding our clinical practice and development of future treatment, early intervention and prevention programs.

Increasingly, the issues surrounding AOD use in our community far outweigh the resources available to deal with them.

Therefore we are strongly committed to the expansion of human, educational & treatment resources as well as making efficient use of existing resources. Internally, we work across all teams in holistic ways to maximize our outcomes.

Strong alliances and partnerships assist us in supporting clients in navigating their way through mainstream services. This aspect of our role involves supporting & translating for clients and mainstream service providers so they can improve their sensitivity and understanding of Aboriginal culture.

Our team recognises that its challenges are great and we are committed to continuously improving quality of services, to increase our capacity and sustainability. The staff, in our team, are our greatest resource.

Organisational support, development and duty of care is paramount to fulfilling our commitment to making a difference. Clinical Supervision, peer support, down-time debriefing, access to external supports and natural therapies reduce stress build-up, and are vital in keeping our workforce healthy, strong and committed.
